This is what happens. I go produce crazy. Squash, greens, cherries, raspberries, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, carrots, basil, tomatoes (tomatoes! finally), peaches, apricots… I was also inspired to buy a whole salmon from Loki Fish. Sadly I paid for my lovely cabbage at the Summer Run Farm stand and then just left it there, abandoned. I wonder who it ended up going home with?
The lunch that resulted: Israeli couscous with sauteed veggies (garlic, zucchini, squash blossoms, rainbow chard and fresh basil).
And for dessert? Fresh berries.
There is nothing better than a bowl of fresh organic berries
from a local farm.
